Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support our data strategy and infrastructure. This role requires fluent English, as you will be working closely with business stakeholders from the UK on a daily basis.

Your focus will be on enhancing data quality, optimizing ETL processes, and integrating data from multiple sources. Tasks will include setting-up and maintaining data pipelines, extracting data from rest APIs using Python, writing T-SQL in DBT, interaction with cloud resources (Azure, DBT) reading and writing documentation.

You will collaborate with a diverse team and play a key role in developing and maintaining a high-quality data ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engaging with business stakeholders daily, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Taking initiative and proactively solving technical and functional challenges.
• Understanding and improving both current and legacy data systems.
• Developing, enhancing, and maintaining ETL processes and data quality.
• Ingesting and integrating data from various disparate sources.
• Following and contributing to best practices, standards, and guidelines.
• Collaborating with the Delivery Manager and team members to drive the Data Strategy.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging data technologies.
• Participating in planning meetings and stand-ups.
• Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across different functions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of Data Modelling.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Python for API interactions.
• Some knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Databricks is beneficial.
